How to use it in your lesson

One learner describes a picture while another reconstructs it through drawing. Comparing the result makes it easier to discuss which instructions were clear and where a question would have helped.

  1. Choose a picture and assign speaker and listener roles.
  2. Describe one part at a time and allow clarification questions.
  3. Compare the drawing with the reference, then swap roles.

For primary learners

Practise colours, shapes and position words with a simple picture.

For middle-school learners

Use a detailed scene and require the listener to check ambiguous instructions.
