How to use it in your lesson
Agree what a comfortable working volume sounds like before starting. The dragon responds to sound levels, so the class can notice when its volume changes.
- Choose a sound threshold for the room.
- Start the microphone and explain the dragon’s stages.
- Pause to reflect on how the group maintained an appropriate working volume.
For primary learners
Try a short paired task with a shared quiet-work goal.
For middle-school learners
Ask groups to agree their own working-volume expectations and evaluate how well they followed them.
What do I need?
